Biography
BIOGRAPHY
Hou Yu Yang was born in Taiwan and raised in Canada. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emily Carr University of Art and Design (Vancouver) and a Master of Fine Arts in Photography from The New School, Parsons School of Art and Design (New York).
Yang has exhibited in Paris, Berlin, Taipei and various cities.
She is a guest lecturer for Tsinghua University Art Academy since 2016, and currently works and lives between Beijing and Taipei.
When childhood dies, its corpses are called adults and they enter society, one of the politer names of Hell. That is why we dread children, even if we love them. They show us the state of our decay.
